On the whole, I’m pleased with Danny Boyle’s Marxist take on Synecdoche, New York, even after (or is it because of?) hearing Johnny Rotten cut off pre-“she ain’t no human being” and watching 50 fake Beatles wave like dignitaries. Yes, that was the Animals cover re-enacted, and no, you don’t get credit because even I got it.
